Why Does Stuff Matter? The objects in Iowa State's Farm House

How can we show how important and fun studying history actually is? We study objects! So much of our history is learned by reading, and some people (even history majors) can find that to get a little boring. Since investigating objects can teach us so much, then that is what we are going to do here: study objects from the Farm House Museum collection, tell a story about it, and connect it to the big picture by asking “why does it matter?”
